The Language of Mollys House

Newmarket Rd (Pedestrian Crossing) & Wilston Station, Wilston QLD

Through the language of drawing, the children of Mollys House want to communicate kindness. Within their own community kindness is at the forefront, this is a message they want to extend to the wider community. The energetic red colour palette creates stand out vibrancy and is the key colour used within the Mollys House community. Each child has hand drawn themselves and is featured in their own ‘block’. This brings importance to each child while at the same time representing the foundational blocks that community is built upon. The flowers on the garden bed below the metaphorical red house, each have a letter inside them denoting the surrounding community Mollys House supports: Mount Alvernia College; Padua College; St Anthonys Primary School; Delamore Retirement Community and Burnie Brae Centre. The remaining flowers feature an M and T representing Mollys beloved pet Myrtle the Turtle.
