Campaign Creative – Cancer Council

CASE STUDY

Working with advertising agency – March One, I developed campaign creative for their client, Cancer Council, to highlight the charities latest venture into supporting breast and gynecological cancers for Pink Ribbon Day.

As Pink Ribbon Day has a powerful visual legacy, the creative needed to honour the historic pink ribbon while pushing the boundaries to introduce the new area of research. Developing ideas alongside March Ones’ creative director we pitched our concept to Cancer Council. The idea – showcasing the iconic pink ribbon wrapping and ‘protecting’ a womans’ breast and gynaecological areas. This concept gained an overwhelmingly positive response and was then further scamped and worked up into a photography brief.

Celebrity photographer Jez Smith came on board, proving to be a career highlight and resulting in the most stunning photography to bring this idea to life and resonate with donators.

Art directing the photoshoot, image selection, design layout and implementing the creative across all campaign elements were the next steps carried out in this job. The results are shown here and both creatives and client were very happy with the end result.

First and foremost, Bec is great at what she does. She has a unique eye for design and art direction. Bec is inquisitive, empathetic, honest and funny – a combination all too rare in advertising.
